The United Arab Emirates consist of seven Emirates and you will probably know it because of the cities Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The country is rich in oil, which has made it one of the most developed countries in the world. The inhabitants do not pay taxes and the government pays for medical expenses and university studies. The population continues to grow due to the huge number of guest workers and expats. In this Islamic country, the official language is Arabic, but because of the diversity in the population, everyone also speaks very good English. Fun fact; this is the only country where you can do a desert trip as well as skiing!
My thirty-fifth birthday was coming up and I didn't have to think twice about where I wanted to celebrate it. With a teenager of 10 years, a toddler of almost 4 years and a baby of 6 months, I just wanted a child-friendly destination that is also fun for mom and dad.
