I loveeee to travel, but I am also very happy to come home to my beloved city Amsterdam. That is where I live with my boyfriend and our daughters. In daily life I work for an airline, where I develop digital tools together with my team. I have Indian roots, but since my parents were born in Surinam, I identify myself as Surinamese.
For me, the perfect destination is a place where you can have delicious food, shoot beautiful pictures and learn something about another culture. But I'm also up for a football match in Barcelona, or shopping in New York!!
During the years, I've been so lucky to visit a lot of countries and that's when I decided (together with the help of my best friends) to create Boardingplan; a travelblog where I will share my unfiltered travel experiences and food hotspots, just like I would share them with my family and friends.
With a realistic view and a lot of travel tips, you will be well prepared for your next destination.

This characterizes our marriage. We are not back yet and I am already brainstorming about the next trip. To respond to this inner voice, I book different trips: weekends away to multi-week adventures. And no, I don't have 100 vacation days a year (because I work as a lawyer at a large software company), but I plan everything in between and around my days off :-). Backpacking through Nepal at the age of nineteen and staying in a Buddhist monastery - I love all kinds of travelling! One of the reasons I started working for a Dutch airline is the benefits of flying to other countries. When I come back from a trip I feel an experience richer and always put things back in perspective. When it comes to a holiday for shopping with friends in Barcelona, or backpacking through Thailand, the versatility of travel makes me very happy 🌞. In my blog(s) you will mainly see a very large food component, because yes, the best way to get to know another country is through the food. Together with my boyfriend I try to make at least one big trip a year and wonderful city trips. Hopefully worth sharing for you!
